Material Testing Laboratory in Islamabad

Laboratory testing that supports geotechnical interpretation and construction quality control, with test selection based on the material, specification and project requirements.

Laboratory Scope

Testing for design and quality control

Soil testing

Classification, index properties, density, compaction and strength-related testing as required.

Concrete specimens

Testing of concrete cylinders or other specified specimens for construction quality assessment.

Masonry materials

Testing support for bricks, blocks, tiles and related construction materials within laboratory capability.

Geotechnical samples

Laboratory characterization of samples recovered during borehole investigations to support engineering interpretation.

Quality

Use the correct test for the engineering question

Laboratory results are most useful when sampling, specimen condition, test method and reporting requirements are defined before testing. For geotechnical work, laboratory data should be interpreted together with field logs and in-situ test results rather than in isolation.

Submissions

Information to send with samples

  • Project and client identification
  • Sample or specimen ID and location
  • Required test method or project specification
  • Sampling or casting date where applicable
  • Requested reporting format
  • Relevant acceptance criteria if the test is for quality control
FAQ

Common project questions

Can I submit only a soil sample for testing?

Yes, subject to the requested test and sample quantity/condition. For foundation design, however, laboratory testing alone may not replace a proper field investigation.

Do you test concrete and masonry materials?

GEOMATRIX lists concrete cylinders, bricks, blocks, tiles and related construction-material testing among its laboratory services.

Can laboratory testing be combined with a geotechnical investigation?

Yes. Combining field investigation and laboratory testing allows the results to be interpreted within the actual subsurface profile.

Need a technical quotation for your site?

Send the site location, proposed structure, plot or project dimensions, basement information if applicable, and available drawings. GEOMATRIX can propose an investigation or testing scope based on the project requirements.
